Who is Ground Control Systems?

Ground Control Systems designs and manufactures commercial bicycle parking, including racks, lockers, shelters, and bike room systems, for architects, contractors, schools, universities, multifamily developers, municipalities, transit agencies, corporate campuses, and commercial real estate teams across the United States, with priority service for California and the West Coast.

The business has been making bicycle parking since 1991 as Park A Bike, the legacy brand that operated through three decades of bicycle parking installs on university campuses, K-12 schools, transit hubs, civic plazas, and corporate campuses. Today the public brand is Ground Control Systems, operated by GCSystems Inc. The Park A Bike name still appears on spec sheets, archived drawings, and references from longtime customers. It is the same company.

Where we are

Our headquarters is at 708 Alhambra Blvd in Sacramento, California. We are a commercial and institutional manufacturer with a quote-based pricing model. We are not a retail bike shop and do not sell to consumers. We operate a separate distribution and warehouse facility in Yuba City; that location is not a public customer-facing office.
